Everything you need is already within you. It is simply a matter of finding it. Those around you have the same; some may take longer to find it. Practice patience, loving kindness, and understanding to both them
and yourself.

Tracy Keenan:
Tracy Keenan has been studying yoga for ten years and teaching in Kihei, HI for the past eight years. Coming from an athletic background, Tracy was drawn to asana practice to help heal up sports related injuries. After realizing the positive impact yoga had brought to her personal life, Tracy became committed to sharing this profound practice.
Tracy is an integrative yoga teacher and loves the flow of ashtanga vinyasa with an Iyengar eye to alignments. Classes vary depending upon the students, but one can expect to become conscious of breath, build strength and focus on proper alignments in this classical style of yoga. She tries not to take herself so seriously and you will find laughter and playfulness throughout her classes.
Tracy is a massage therapist and holds a degree in Ayurvedic Science. She has incredible knowledge of anatomy and physiology and brings that well as Ayurveda into her classes. Educating students and providing a safe environment for self study play a critical roll in Tracy's teaching style. She credits many teachers in her journey including Pattabhi Jois, Eddie Modestino, Nicki Doane, Robin Nichols, Olaf, along with the many other senior yoga teachers from various styles including Anusara and Viniyoga.
Rachel Schwimmer:
Rachel believes that at its core, yoga is a transformative practice that leads us to more awareness, more joy, and an open heart. In her classes, she strives to create an environment where students both challenge and nurture themselves. Her classes are a dynamic mixture of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Larry’ Schultz’s Rocket Series, pranayama, deep restorative asana, and the wisdom of the Yoga Sutras. She encourages her students to continually deepen their practice and to discover the subtleties of pranayama, bandhas, concentration, and meditation. Rachel has been teaching yoga to adults and children for the past five years after receiving her certification from It’s Yoga in the traditions of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. A natural lover of all things movement, she enjoys AcroYoga, dance, ballet, aerial arts and often weaves those disciplines into her Power Yoga classes. Rachel believes strength, peace and wisdom reside within, and that yoga is a celebration of life. Rachel continues to enjoy sharing the magical gift of yoga with her wonderful students and is eternally grateful yoga has lead her to beautiful Maui.
Happy New Year.
Katherine Wilder:
Katherine Wilder, BS, LMBT NC#2307, HI# 10575 was born and raised in the Republic of Panama. Katherine Attended Wingate University and received a Bachelors of Science in Sports Medicine in the winter of 1999. Upon graduating, she continued her educational experience at the Southeastern school of neuromuscular and massage therapy. Katherine received her massage license in the summer of 2000, and was asked to remain at the school to teach the functional anatomy and neuromuscular portions of the curriculum. Ms. Wilder has a particular interest in the structural integration approach to massage, attending continuing education seminars under Tom Myers.
While at the massage school, Katherine was introduced to the yoga practice. That was the moment she experienced the symbiotic relationship of the two movement therapies. She has continued to deepen her understanding and practice of yoga trough many styles, being particularly drawn toward anusara principles. Understanding and participating in the two therapies inspired Ms. Wilder to begin teaching yoga, and she has been teaching and sharing this journey for the past 4 years. Most recently, Katherine was working with PGA tour golfers, teaching them yoga and incorporating massage into their daily routine.
Katherine is Dedicated to the continuous growth and understanding of the mind body connection. Through the techniques of massage and yoga, we allow the body’s systems to function at their utmost potential, flowing without restriction. Thus creating an optimal internal atmosphere for the body to move, flourish, and maintain a state of balance, encouraging health and wellbeing.
I am excited to be a part of the team at the Kihei community yoga center, and look forward to growing with the community!
